Iowans sue Reynolds, DHS

Six iowans with disabilities are suing Governor Reynolds and the director of the Department of Human Services. The suit filed in federal court this week alleges the state's shift to a privately run Medicaid program is depriving thousands of Iowans with disabilities the right and opportunity to live safely outside of care facilities. The lawsuit claims disabled Iowans were promised that services would not change for at least two years, but that hasn't been the case.
