Reynolds faces tough budget options

Governor Reynolds is left with few good options when it comes to another bout with a budget deficit. A report released late last week said Iowa's budget shortfall is in the area of $100 million. Reynolds says she'll look at the her options, which include using cash reserves or calling Iowa lawmakers back to Des Moines for a special session. Close to $120 million was cut from the state budget by lawmakers earlier this year and cash reserves are also already being used.
