A new report says Iowa is the nation's top meat producing state. Financial website "24/7 Wall Street" has released it's report using data gathered from the US Department of Agriculture and Iowa sits in the number-one spot. The state produces nearly 11 percent of the nation's meat with nearly 15-billion pounds. Pork is the number-one meat export from Iowa. Annual meat and poultry sales are second only to texas. On average each American consumes over 200 pounds of meat and poultry annually.
