Gregg tabbed as "acting" Lieutenant Governor

In one of her first moves as Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds tapped Adam Gregg to be Lieutenant Governor.  Gregg had served as the state's public defender.  Because of a ruling from the Iowa Attorney General earlier this month, Gregg will be involved in ceremonial and administrative duties, but won't be responsible for constitutional functions such as filling a vacancy should Reynolds leave office.  If that were to happen, Senate President Jack Whitver would assume the office.
