Many people across Iowa are picking up the damage caused by a second day of severe thunderstorms that affected areas from the northwest to the southeast. Sioux, Keokuk, Washington, Appanoose, and Linn counties were just a few of the areas under tornado warnings Wednesday as storms rumbled across the state. Wind gusts of up to 70-miles-per-hour were reported in multiple cities along with downed tree limbs and power lines. Thousands were without power across the state. In Bremer County, a semitrailer truck driver was killed on Iowa Highway 57, just east of Parkersburg as thunderstorms rolled across the area. The sheriff's office says that truck overturned.
