A minister at the University of Iowa says she knew the risks, but followed her heart and conscience when she decided to officiate a same-sex marriage. The Reverend Anna Blaedel says she knew performing the wedding ceremony could possibly cost her credentials, job and her income, but saying no would cost "her integrity and her soul." Blaedel officiated the wedding of a friend in Oklahoma last month and now faces possible censure from the Iowa conference of the United Methodist Church.
