Dozens of bills become law

More than three dozen bills are now law in iowa thanks to Governor Branstad.  He signed 37 bills Thursday that include a "right to try" measure giving terminally ill Iowans the ability to get drugs that aren't available for purchase at pharmacies.  Another measure allows Iowa Department of Transportation enforcement officers to ticket people driving more than 20 miles per hour over the speed limit or if they're suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  City and school elections will be on the same day in odd-numbered years under another bill signed into law.
