The fourth time was the charm for a new Dallas County Jail yesterday. In a referendum, voters approved nearly 23 million dollars worth of loans to build a new jail and law enforcement center. It got nearly 78 percent of the nearly 75 hundred votes cast. Voters had turned down other bond issues for a new Dallas County jail three times before. Meanwhile, in Ankeny, bond issues for a new fire station and new public library also received overwhelming voter approval.
