Authorities say a Pottawattamie County sheriff's deputy is dead and another is injured after an incident with an escaped prisoner. They say Deputy Mark Burbridge was shot and killed Monday by Wesley Correa-Carmenaty, who then took off and destroyed a garage door. An attempted carjacking then took place and the driver was shot. Authorities say a woman was kidnapped by Correa-Carmenaty, but was dropped off in Omaha at a liquor store. They say the chase ended with a crash and he was arrested just hours after being sentenced for a murder last year.
