Iowa Dems decry 2017 session just ended

Iowa Senate Minority Leader Rob Hogg and other Democrats are still reeling from the 2017 legislative session. Lawmakers spoke in Davenport Thursday on what happened this year and what to expect next year as Republicans retain control of state government. Hogg said the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System, or IPERS, could be in for changes next year. Lawmakers adjourned last weekend, but not before a voter ID law and changes to the state's collective bargaining law were passed.
