Regents begin ISU presidential search

The Iowa Board of Regents has selected the search committee tasked with finding Iowa State's next president. The panel includes 20 voting members who will find a replacement for Steven Leath, who resigns next month to become president at Auburn University. The group is lead by two co-chairs: Principal Financial Group President and CEO Dan Houston and ISU College of Design dean Luis Rico-Gutierrez. The committee also includes student government leaders, professors, representatives of the ISU Alumni Association and ISU Foundation, and four Board of Regents members. The committee is scheduled to hire a search firm early next month, identify semifinalists in mid to late August, and hire a new president in early October.
