Thunderstorms spawn western Iowa tornadoes

There are reports of a tornado touch down in Carroll County during Wednesday night's severe weather outbreak. The National Weather Service received a report just before 8:00 p.m. from a trained spotter who said a tornado caused damage in Halbur. That damage included downed power lines and an overturned camper. Multiple counties in western Iowa were under a tornado watch, other counties were put under severe thunderstorm watches and warnings.
