Senate passes restrictive abortion bill

Governor Branstad will soon have on his desk that puts new restrictions on abortion.  The Iowa Senate voted 30-20 Tuesday to pass the bill that outlaws most abortions after 20 weeks.  The measure includes no exceptions for rape, incest, or fetal anomalies and it also requires women to wait three days to have the abortion.  Not all republicans are happy with the bill.  Sioux City senator Rick Bertrand argued for a ban on abortions after one week.
