A medical marijuana measure is enjoying wide bipartisan support from Iowa senators. They voted 45-5 Monday to pass the measure allowing people with cancer, AIDS, Crohn's disease and a number of other ailments to have cannabis. By July 2018, medical cannabis could be distributed by up to 12 licensed dispensaries once up to four manufacturers are approved by the state. The bill's future in the house is questionable as Speaker Linda Upmeyer said last week she didn't think there were enough votes.
