Governor Branstad signed into law Thursday a sweeping gun bill. Included in the measure is a "stand your ground" provision. It allows a person to use deadly force, without having to retreat, if they believe they're in danger. The bill also allows kids to use handguns as long as they're supervised by a parent or guardian. It also allows gun owners to carry concealed weapons into the state capitol and other state and local government buildings. The gun bill was one of 16 measures signed by the governor.
