House passes Iowa voter ID bill

A bill establishing a photo ID requirement to vote in Iowa is closer to becoming law.  The House passed the measure Monday after changing a version passed by the Senate. A driver's license, military ID, or passport would be needed in order to vote. A a free ID would be issued to anybody who doesn't currently have one. The bill also calls for post-election audits and ends straight-ticket voting.
