Council considers Lincoln Way study

The Ames City Council takes a look at the future of one of the city's busiest thoroughfares Tuesday. Mayor Ann Campbell says the council will get a staff report on a months-long study of the Lincoln Way corridor. She says one option is for the council to treat recommendations in the study as suggestions for future development, while it could also give them more authority by amending them into the city's land use policy plan--a process that would be extremely time-consuming. Tuesday night's council meeting in city hall starts at 6:00.
