Gas prices crept up a little this week. State energy analysts say prices rose $.04 this week, closing at an average $2.31 per gallon. The national average is four cents higher than that. Triple A Iowa reports the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $.28 higher now than a year ago. Diesel fuel's up a penny, with a statewide average of $2.45 per gallon. A year ago the price was $2.09. The national average now for diesel is $2.51 per gallon. Wholesale ethanol prices are up a nickle from last week, closing at $1.64.
