ISU faces sexual discrimination lawsuit

Iowa State University faces a sexual discrimination lawsuit from someone who used to work at the school.  Former Business College assistant marketing professor Laura Smarandescu says her gender led her to be denied tenure despite being at ISU for a decade. She says many people on different committees denied her application for tenure and a decision by President Steven Leath ultimately led her to leave the school.  Smarandescu also says her reputation has been damaged to such a degree that her employment opportunities have and continue to be hampered. She says her constitutional rights of due process and equal protection were violated.
