You're Looking Good

Some times you have to wait a lot of years to get a compliment and when you do it's kind of lost it's edge. As an example, as I run into people I haven't seen for a while I often get the "You're lookin' good". To be honest it would have meant so much more in high school than now and I feel like they left out the most important part, "For your age". Another frequently used phrase "You haven't changed a bit." makes me believe they think I'm avoiding all mirrors. I'm comfortable with my age and put more emphasis on breathing than compliments, don't get me wrong I appreciate them more than the oft used phrase "Good Lord, you're still alive!".
