Awakening to another surprising Iowa morning, a couple of inches of beautiful, fresh white fluffy snow. Now normally about this time of year I'd be crawling up the walls and screaming "When is this winter going to end?" but honestly it hasn't been that bad. We bold frontiersmen brush this off as a mere inconvenience to be swept away in a matter of minutes, or if we practice patience Mother Nature will do it for us with temperatures reaching the mid 50's on Friday. It's been a bit unusual as weather goes, pure proof we live in Iowa. Let's enjoy this one for it's beauty and appreciate, for the moment, a gentler than usual Iowa winter. Be warned that this blog will self destruct when we are hit with the middle of March "Blizzard of 2017" the old timers refer to 50 years from now.
