(Des Moines, IA) -- An interactive art display featuring giant, illumnated dominoes will be installed Friday in Downtown Des Moines.
Renae Mauk of the Greater Des Moines Partnership says the Domino Effect will be at Cowles Commons.
"Along with making musical sound when they topple over, each one is a little different, they also glow. So we really encourage people to come down during the day but also come back at night, " Mauk said.
She says people can set the dominoes in motion for the chain reaction. Mauk says each oversized domino has unique sound, some with a flute sound, others have percussion sounds.
The art installation was created in Montreal, Canada and has also appeared in New York City and Denver.
It will be open to the public in Des Moines from Saturday until September 30th.
