(Des Moines, IA) -- Another round of thunderstorms is expected in Central Iowa this afternoon and linger overnight into Saturday.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Mark DeBruin says some could be severe, bringing the threat of hail, damaging wind and a potential tornado.
DeBruin says flooding is also a possibility because the region has already had so much rain. Des Moines has received over 3 inches of rain in the past day.
They're keeping a close eye on Four-Mile Creek and Walnut Creek watersheds because river levels have been rising.
There is a Flood Watch in effect for much of the state until Saturday morning.
