(Story County, IA) -- Story County Sheriff's Deputies came across a small homemade explosive device this (Thursday) morning while executing a search warrant at a mobile home park. Captain Nicholas Lennie of the Story County Sheriff's Office says they evacuated nearby mobile homes and contacted the Iowa State Fire Marshall's Office and the ATF. He says the contents of the pipe bomb were then emptied, rendering it safe.

Captain Lennie says search warrant came about after a social media video surfaced this month, showing 29-year-old Tyler Hammond recklessly shooting a rifle and driving with a suspended license. He says the video appears to show Hammond firing at road and traffic signs with homes and other hazards in the back-ground. Hammond was arrested without incident and taken to the Story County Jail.

Charges include:

Control of Firearm/Offensive weapon by a Domestic Abuse Offender

Reckless Use of Firearm Causing Property Damage, (Two counts)

Shooting across Highway

Driving Under Suspension.
