AMES, Iowa -- The Ames Police Department's looking for suspects in an early morning armed robbery in a hotel parking lot.
Police say two victims told officers they were approached just before 5:30 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Days Inn at 229 S. Duff Ave. by two men--one with a handgun--demanding money.
Police say one of the suspects assaulted one of the victims, leaving them with minor injuries.
The suspects are described as two black men, ages 19 to 30 years old, approximately 6'0" to 6'2" tall. One of the men was wearing a blue shirt and dark pants, while the other was wearing a blue shirt, jeans,and a backpack.
