CLIVE, Iowa - Clive Police are asking for public help to identify a person who they say used a cloned, or counterfeited debit card of a victim.
The department says the suspect used a debit card and pin number of the victim, who'd fallen for a phishing scheme.
Clive Police are warning against the scam, noting financial institutions don't call customers and ask for personal information or pin numbers associated with debit cards. They say anyone receiving a call or text asking for such information should contact their financial institution.
Anyone with information about the suspect in the surveillance photos above and below is asked to call Clive Police at 515-867-5008.
Clive Police are also investigating a phishing fraud from this week involving customers of Bankers Trust.
