Greater Des Moines Partnership builds relationships with Iowa Caucus media

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Greater Des Moines Partnership is hoping to see more than just winners in the presidential race come out of next week's Iowa Caucuses.

"It also give us all the opportunity to truly tell the story of our region and out state on a national and international stage" says the Partnership's Tiffany Tauscheck.

She says they hope their work with the Iowa Caucus Consortium will prompt members of the national and international media to tell positive stories about the Des Moines area--not only during their caucus coverage, but in the weeks and months that follow.

"Many of those media (members) will come back to Iowa, whether it's for a caucus again in the future or maybe there's another story they've leared about while they're here. We're now able to creat those connections and help them in finding sources" Tauscheck says.

Catch Des Moines says the Iowa Caucuses will pump more than $11 million into the Des Moines area's economy through rented hotel rooms, meals bought in restaurants, and other spending.
