Warm and rainy in Iowa for the rest of the week

JOHNSTON, Iowa -- Looks like it's going to be warm and wet the rest of the week in Central Iowa.

"We're looking at highs possibly approaching 60 by Wednesday depending on how much cloud cover we see" says National Weather Service Meteorologist Cory Martin.

He also says rain comes into the forecast Wednesday.

"It's a pretty good bet that much of the area's going to see a half-inch up to an inch of rain" Martin says.

The Weather Service says the rain is expected to move southwest to northeast across Iowa starting early Wednesday evening, continuing through early Thursday morning.
