Missouri trooper tied to Iowa man's death could regain license

JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri -- A Missouri judge says that state's former public safety director didn't give adequate information in revoking former trooper Anthony Piercy's license. In 2014, he was driving 20-year-old Brandon Ellingson of Clive for a breath test at the Lake of the Ozarks. Ellingson drown after falling of a boat and out of an improperly secured life vest. The judge sent the issue back to the public safety department for further action. Piercy can't come back to the Highway Patrol without the license.
