President Trump To Hold Off On State Of The Union Until End Of Shutdown

There will be no State of the Union address until the government is back in business.  President Trump made it official on Twitter Wednesday night saying he'll hold off on the speech until the shutdown is over.  His announcement came after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi canceled next week's scheduled address but left open the option of Trump using a different venue to address the American people.  In calling the speech off, Trump said there's "no venue that can compete with the history, tradition and importance of the House Chamber."
