DES MOINES, Iowa - Firework sales begin today in Iowa for the holiday season.
Iowa law allows people to buy fireworks between December 10 and January 3, as well as between June 1 and July 8 around the Fourth of July each summer.
While selling fireworks is legal, city ordinances vary on whether it is legal to set them off, or not.
Iowa State law also requires buyers to be 18-years or older to buy fireworks.
