Iowa's "Safe Haven" law is expanding. Governor Reynolds signed a bill Thursday that allows a parent to relinquish custody within the child's first 30 days of life. Parents won't be prosecuted if the child is turned over to hospital personnel. The bill also lets a first responder take the child if a parent calls 911.
