Voters are going to the polls in school district elections across Iowa. In Ames, school board candidates Monic Behnken, Jamet Colton, Gina Perez and incumbent Tim Rasmussen are vying for three seats. Voters will also decide the renewal of the district's Physical Plant and Equipment Levy--adminstrators say PPEL accounts for $4 million to the district's bottom line every year. As it's a citywide election, Ames School District voters can chose from one of eight "vote centers" to cast their ballots. Polls are open until 8:00 p.m.
