Cyclones Handle UNI In Football Opener

(Ames, IA)  -- The Iowa State football team is starting the 2017 football season on a winning note.  Quarterback Jacob Park threw for two touchdowns and running back David Montgomery added a pair of running touchdowns to lead the Cyclones to a 42-to-24 victory over Northern Iowa Saturday night in Ames.  Panthers quarterback Eli Dunne threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns, but he also tossed three interceptions.  The Cyclones will go for their second win of the season next Saturday when they take on state rival Iowa.
