The Ames Police Department wants to know who drove across one of the greens at Homewood golf course, causing extensive damage. Cmdr. Geoff Huff says it appears someone hopped a curb, spun out on the green, and made their way back to the street. He says it appears the incident happened sometime after 10:30 Wedensday night at 6:00 Thursday morning. As Homewood is a city-owned golf course, Huff says everyone in Ames has to pay to fix the damage. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ames Police Department or Story County Crime Stoppers.
