Iowa DNR Ending Forestry Bureau Amid Budget Cuts

Iowa's Department of Natural Resources is promising that you won't notice the end of its forestry division. The DNR cleared-out the forestry bureau yesterday as part of a cost cutting move. Only two people, the forestry division's chief and a state geologist, will lose their jobs. DNR spokesman Alex Murphy said visitors won't notice any changes the next time they visit one of the state's parks.
