Ten sites in Ames have been approved to sell fireworks. According to a list on the State Fire Marshal's website, major retailers Wal Mart, Target, Walgreens, CVS and Theisen's have been issued licenses to sell fireworks under a new state law permitting limited sales. In addition, Bellino Fireworks has been granted licenses at two locations on Lincoln Way and Dark Sky LLC can sell fireworks at a location on 241st St. near the intersection of I-35 and Hwy. 30. Iowa Fireworks Company LLC is licensed to sell in Nevada.
