As I stepped out in the welcome cooler air this morning I noticed that Mother Nature had changed her perfume. Instead of good old Iowa Farm and Fertilizer air I was assaulted by a fragrance known as Eau de Canadian Forest Fire. It wasn't all that unpleasant and actually reminded me of my grizzly wrestling days in Manitoba, but that's another story. We seem to be on the lighter side of the event, folks further west have gotten a thicker version and it's supposed to dissipate by Saturday...Hmmmm all of a sudden I crave a big bull moose steak, I wonder if theirs one left in the freezer?
