I had high hopes that we would demonstrate to the nation the need for masks when gathering in large groups during the Presidential visit last evening. I was imagining the camera panning over the masses with masks covering but instead was greeted by the herd mentality theory. Don't get up in arms as to whether I'm for or against Trump it isn't relative, as a matter of fact some people just want the opportunity to be near and see the most powerful person in the world. What bothers me most is how a life saving effort of wearing a mask has become a political issue on where you stand instead of a common sense health precaution. We had a chance to be the good example in trying to curb the Corona virus but instead came across as part of the herd drenched in ignorance. PLEASE wear your mask, we've lost to many folks already.
