Is this the year of opposites? Am I actually hearing my fellow Iowans complaining that we haven't had enough snow? Are the snowbirds who head down south for the winter disappointed because their envy pictures of them on the beach or golf course are not producing the sting of envy from those of us left behind? The answer is YES to all. Do not despair, Mother nature is planning a little pick me up session today and tomorrow, I wouldn't grab my skates, skis or gas up that snowmobile but it should provide the hope that winter has not abandoned us. Another edition of Sports Showcase will fill the air this Saturday Morning from Nissan of Ames. Take note though it will move to 8am this week to accommodate the broadcast of the Iowa State Men's Game as they take on Kansas State. Pregame at 10, tip off at 11am. Not done yet, the lights stay on at hilton as the Iowa State Women head to the court at 3:30pm to take on Texas.
