A Milwaukee man's appeal of his conviction in connection with a drive-by shooting in Campustown has been denied. The Iowa Court of Appeals says it's upholding the conviction of Terrion Maxfield, 21. He entered an Alford plea last year to charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and willful injury resulting in serious injury and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Maxfield claimed in his appeal a judge abused his discretion by not allowing his trial to be delayed but the appeals court ruled his argument had no merit. Maxfield was one of three people in a car that drove through Campustown early in the morning on February 19, 2017, and fired shots into a crowd near the intersection of Welch Ave. and Chamberlain St. Police officers in the area returned fire, hitting two people in the car.
