Story County and eastern Boone County are under a flash flood wanring until 3:15 p.m. The nearly four inches of rain that's fallen in the area through the morning is causing street flooding in Ames and across the Iowa State University campus. Ames police say the Grand Ave. underpass has been closed throughout the morning. Flash flood warnings are also in effect for much of northwestern Iowa.
