Anti-"lunch shaming" bill signed into law

A bill designed to stop "lunch shaming" students who can't afford to pay for school lunches is now law. The measure was one of 11 bills signed Tuesday by Gov. Reynolds. Lunch debt has been an issue for many schools, but has also subjected many students to embarrassment as they're denied a meal or have been forced to sit in separate areas of the lunchroom. In part, the law allows schools to accept private donations to cover meals and prevents schools from posting the names of students who owe school lunch money.
