A student is suing the Ankeny School District after she says a bullying incident left her with brain damage. Audrey Vacek said her head was slammed against the wall of a classroom by another student in 2016. She says she warned the school's vice principal and other faculty before the attack that she was being bullied. Vacek's attacker was sentenced in juvenile court and transferred to another school. Vacek says she has panic attacks, memory loss and PTSD.
