Since I took the day off, and believe me for the 1st time in many years I needed it, I decided to fix supper. Chris and I did not see much of each other this week because of my visits to Des Moines, and her long hours at work. This weekend was also kind of sketchy as to how much time we'll have together. It was simple, attesting to the chef's capabilities, but delicious. Most importantly I was with the person I most enjoy being with, who makes me smile just by being in the room and has been willing to put up with my eccentricities (CRAP) for nearly 25 years (23 married). This same sweet woman who reminds me that should I get deathly ill, she will never pull the long as she can pull the trigger. What more could any man want and I've gotten used to sleeping with one eye open.
