Trent and I were talking yesterday about the wonders of technology, and yes I did agree that it is amazing the things we have at our fingertips. Conversely, it seems that since the computer age we have also seen a dramatic increase in Identity Theft. In my opinion we have become more vulnerable to technological pick pockets by placing immeasurable faith in systems that are flawed. We seem to be more than willing to put all kinds of information through these systems with blind trust that they are safe, yet hear horror story after horror story about friends and associates being victimized. Call me paranoid but I don't shop on line, I still deal in cash and best of all by not doing this not only do I keep my identity (not that it's worth that much) but it encourages me to shop locally promoting those with a vested interest in my community.
