There is nothing more confusing than visiting your old hometown especially if it happens to be Des Moines. It's been 38 years since I've actually lived down there (down there is any thing south) and I really didn't think it would stay the same but I've not kept up that well. In my younger years I worked as a surveyor both for a company Called Veenstra & Kimm and the City of Des Moines. I was involved with the changing landscapes of Des Moines and surrounding communities in fact I surveyed for the 1st building at what was the Area 11 Community College now better known as DMACC. Time truly passes quickly, so if you see an old guy talking in his car and nobody's with him, it's probably me asking my GPS lady "Are you sure?"
