The Ware injury is dominating the talk of the sports world, a fair amount of which may have otherwise been focused on Baylor’s loss in the women’s tournament. I would’ve been surprised if the Lady Bears has won by less the 20 points, to be honest, so seeing them down double-digits in the second half sure got my attention. I saw the last 10 minutes of the game. There was no shortage of drama there with all the officiating blunders, trash-talking players and a coach dang near ripping off her clothes at a bad call. (Yeah, that late charge against Baylor was bad call. One of many.) History will likely forget the officiating blunders, unless that history department is located in
So how much hoops did you watch during your Easter weekend? What did you think of the games?
A little bit about me....
I've been Sports Director at News/Talk 1430 KASI since December 2005. I graduated from Iowa State just a few months before that. My career has also taken me to such exotic locals as Estherville, and Storm Lake, Iowa, Owatonna, Minnesota, and Silver City, New Mexico (long story-don't ask). I've also had the pleasure of working part-time at WOI Radio in Ames and WHO Radio in Des Moines while I was a student.
I'm a native of Maplewood, Minnesota, a suburb of St. Paul. It was there that I was inflicted with the curse of being a Minnesota Vikings fan. There is still no known cure, though many times I wish there was. I'm also an avid follower of the Minnesota Twins and of course, the Iowa State Cyclones.
