Feel free to enjoy these while I try to figure out just exactly what “Flappy Birds” is…
There’s been a lot of buzz about ISU top football recruit, Allen Lazard. The Ames Tribune’s Bobby La Gesse got the inside dope from the kid himself. http://amestrib.com/sports/football-curious-recruitment-allen-lazard

To basketball, where out buddy Brent Blum opines about ISU national championship potential for CycloneFanatic.com. http://cyclonefanatic.com/basketball/mens/news/blum-anything-is-possible/
Sports Illustrated has a story about DeAndre Kane. Great picture, too. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/college-basketball/news/20140205/iowa-state-deandre-kane/
Ever wonder what the Winter Olympics would be like if they were held in New York City? Wonder no more, thanks to the New York Times! http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/02/04/sports/olympic-venues.html?_r=0

A little bit about me....
I've been Sports Director at News/Talk 1430 KASI since December 2005. I graduated from Iowa State just a few months before that. My career has also taken me to such exotic locals as Estherville, and Storm Lake, Iowa, Owatonna, Minnesota, and Silver City, New Mexico (long story-don't ask). I've also had the pleasure of working part-time at WOI Radio in Ames and WHO Radio in Des Moines while I was a student.
I'm a native of Maplewood, Minnesota, a suburb of St. Paul. It was there that I was inflicted with the curse of being a Minnesota Vikings fan. There is still no known cure, though many times I wish there was. I'm also an avid follower of the Minnesota Twins and of course, the Iowa State Cyclones.
