Confined Space

As I arrived at Bethany Life in Story City to do our Breakfast Club I was met immediately met inside the door by a woman who asked what I was doing there and that as of the previous night their facility was in lockdown. Lucky for me Reverend Dave spotted me and assured the vigilant doorkeeper that they had gotten clearance for the show to go on. I know many of you have had a similar experience but it was the first time for me and it felt strange. In an interview with Rev. Dave you could here the concern in his voice especially when referring to no visitors for 14 days and the strain it puts on the residents, for some this is the only connection to the outside world. It's back to standing outside the windows for visitors, no hugging only the touching of fingers on a pane of glass. I fear too many folks are not taking the Delta Virus seriously even as the death count and hospitilization's rise. The virus is real, the vaccine is real, the choice is yours as to which path you'll take.
